" The first five years have so much to do with how the next 80 turn out."
When I started going to school this is the first words spoken out of Mrs. Hamilton mouth on the first night of her class. She said, "As educators and early childhood teachers you should always remember the impact that you will have on every child you teach."
I love this quote! It is so true. Those first years are so critical, and we as educators play such a huge role! It's amazing to know the lasting impact we can have on the children we teach. You seem like a very passionate head start teacher, and I am looking forward to collaborating with you throughout the course of this program!
ReplyDeleteI will forever remember these words! We have the biggest impact on these children.
DeleteIt is extremely important for educators, and others working with young children to remember the impact of the very early years. Most of the brain develops before the age of three. These critical moments will shape who that child is to become. Positive influences can help create a positive outcome while negative influences can do the opposite.
